Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are actually open and can close on 15 December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house that has a combined gross domestic earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic money would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within their South African ID.
